Every certificate link, QR code and certificate email points to a verification page. You choose where that page opens.
Where to find it
Apps → Authentica → Settings → Verification links, and on Pro, Settings → Custom verification domain.
Your options
| Option | Links open on | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| On my Shopify store (default) | Your own store, under /apps/authentica | Most stores. Your storefront must not be password-protected, or buyers cannot see the page. |
| On Authentica's secure domain | Authentica's own domain | Stores whose storefront is password-protected, or that sell through another site such as WordPress. |
| Your own subdomain (Pro) | A subdomain you own, for example verify.yourbrand.com | Brands that want every printed QR code under their own name. |
Switching between the store and the secure domain changes new links, QR codes and emails. Links you have already sent keep working.
Connect your own subdomain
Enter the subdomain
In Settings → Custom verification domain, enter a subdomain you own, such asverify.yourbrand.com. Use a subdomain, not your main website address. Choose Connect domain.Add the DNS records
The two DNS records to add appear straight away. Add them where you manage DNS for that domain.Wait for the check
Authentica checks automatically and emails you when the domain is live, usually within an hour of the records being added. You can also press Check now. The security certificate for HTTPS is issued automatically.
Once it is live, new certificate links, QR codes, emails, the API and webhooks use your domain. QR codes printed earlier keep working.
