Is Authentica on the Shopify App Store yet?

Yes. Authentica: COA Certificates is live on the Shopify App Store at apps.shopify.com/authentica-coa-certificates with a free plan available. The merchant guide walks through the designer, verification and provenance end to end.

Does Authentica use crypto, NFTs or a blockchain?

No. Every certificate carries a serial number, a QR code, and a cryptographic signature and fingerprint, all hosted on your own store. There is no wallet, no NFT, no blockchain, and no fee per certificate.

Is Authentica only for jewelry?

No. Authentica ships with starter presets for jewelry, watches, fine art and prints, luxury fashion and handbags, sneakers and streetwear, collectibles and trading cards, autographs and memorabilia, wine and spirits, coins and bullion, and handmade and artisan goods, plus a general preset for antiques, rare books, instruments and any brand where authenticity matters.

What happens to a certificate if the order is refunded?

The certificate is revoked automatically and its verification page shows it as revoked, so a refunded item can never be passed off as still certified.

Can a certificate follow the item when it is resold?

Yes. Ownership transfer records a new owner on the certificate, and the provenance trail shows every previous owner, so the certificate travels with the item rather than staying with the original buyer.

What languages does Authentica support?

The admin and the App Store listing are available in 8 languages: English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese. The public certificate verification page itself supports 10 languages, including right-to-left Arabic.

What do I get on the free plan?

50 certificates a month, auto-issued on every paid order, with the full drag-and-drop designer, your logo colors and custom fields, QR verification, numbered editions, back-catalog issuance, and ownership transfer and provenance. Only removing Authentica branding and white-label verification are paid.

How does Authentica compare to Verisart?

Can I design my own certificate?

Yes. In-person sales through Shopify POS auto-certify like any other order, and staff can look a certificate up by serial number in the Authentica admin.

Can I connect Authentica to Klaviyo or my own tools?

Yes. Certificate events (issued, verified, transferred) can be sent to Klaviyo and to your own webhook URL to trigger workflows or notifications.

Can I certify orders from before I installed Authentica?

Yes. Back-catalog issuance certifies every past paid order in one run, so every customer you have ever had can end up with a certificate.

Does verifying a certificate require an account or a wallet?

No. A buyer opens the verification link or scans the QR code in their own browser. There is no account, no app to install, and no crypto wallet.

Does Authentica support NFC tags?

Yes. From a certificate's detail page you can write its verification URL directly to an NFC tag on Web NFC compatible devices, or copy the link as a fallback.
