Certificates in customer accounts

Give buyers a My certificates page and a certificate block on each order in their Shopify customer account.

Buyers who sign in to your store can find every certificate they own without searching their inbox. Authentica adds a My certificates page to the Shopify customer account, and a certificate block on each order.

Before you start

This uses Shopify's customer accounts, not legacy customer accounts. You can check which one your store uses in your Shopify admin under Settings → Customer accounts.

How to set it up

  1. Turn it on in Authentica

In Apps → Authentica → Settings → Customer accounts, tick Show buyers their certificates in their customer account and save.
  2. Add the page and block in Shopify

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Customer accounts → Customize. Add the Authentica My certificates page, and the Authentica certificates block on the order status page.
  3. Save and check

Save the customer account editor, then sign in as a customer who has a certificate to see it.

What buyers see

  • Each certificate with its product, edition number, certificate number and order.
  • Its status: Valid, Revoked or Expired.
  • A View certificate link that opens the verification page, where the owner can verify it or transfer ownership.

The page and block follow the customer account language, so buyers see them in their own language.
