Troubleshooting
Start here when something is not behaving the way you expect. Each article below covers one symptom, with the checks in the order that resolves the most cases first.
- A batch finished but some images were not changedBy default the app skips any image already at or under your target, so fewer images change than are scanned.
- A run produced no results at all, or auto-resize never fires on new productsAutomatic resizing refuses to start when there is nothing to charge against or your spend limit is already reached.
- The images look worse than expectedQuality is compression, not resolution. Raise quality for artefacts, or the maximum dimension if detail is the problem.
- I need the original images backOriginals are backed up before anything changes and can be restored per batch or per image, but only for 30 days.
- Alt text did not change, or I want it revertedAlt text is written separately from resizing, is capped by Shopify at 512 characters, and has its own revert.
- Still stuckWhat to send us so we can read the per-image outcome of that batch, including why each one was skipped.
