Authentica installs from the Shopify App Store. The Free plan needs no credit card and every core feature, including the full designer, works on it.
Before you start
- You need a Shopify store and permission to install apps on it.
- Authentica asks for three read-only permissions: read orders (
read_orders), read your full order history (read_all_orders, so past orders can be certified) and read products (read_products). It never edits your products or orders.
Install the app
Step-by-step
Open the App Store listing
Go to apps.shopify.com/authentica-coa-certificates and click Install.Approve the permissions
You will be redirected to your Shopify admin to approve the app's permissions. Review the scopes and click Install.Open Authentica and view a sample
The app opens inside your Shopify admin under Apps → Authentica. Click See a sample certificate on the Certificates page to view a rendered certificate and its verification page before your first real order arrives.
Check it is working
The Authentica dashboard states whether auto-issue is on, for example Auto-issuing on every paid order, or Auto-issue paused. Once a real order is paid, its certificates appear under Certificates, one per unit.
What to do next
- Design your certificate with your logo, colors and custom fields.
- Add the badge to your product pages from Settings → Storefront badge → Add badge to my theme.
- Certify past orders so earlier customers get a certificate too.
