The public certificate page is what anyone sees when they scan a QR code or open a certificate link. These settings decide what it says and what it leaves out. The certificate itself is still signed and checkable whatever you hide.
Where to find it
Apps → Authentica → Settings → Public certificate page.
Options
| Setting | What it does | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Hide owner names on public pages | Leaves current and former owner names off the public page and the certificate shown online. Email addresses are never shown publicly. You still see everything in the app. | All plans |
| Status line | Replaces the line above a valid certificate, for example Official digital record of this edition. Leave it blank for the standard Verified authentic in each visitor's language. | Starter and Pro |
| Note under the status | A short note on every public page, for example how to recognise the genuine item. | Starter and Pro |
| Identity line on the certificate | Show the certificate number, the edition number instead (such as 042/150), or no identity line. The certificate number is always kept in the app and in exports. | Starter and Pro |
| Hide the verification count | Leaves off the first verification date and how many times the certificate was verified. | Starter and Pro |
| Hide the digital signature line | Removes the line under the certificate. The certificate is still signed and can be checked through the API. | Starter and Pro |
| Hide the Download PDF button | Removes the PDF button for valid certificates. | Starter and Pro |
Certificates that are not valid
Whatever you choose, a replaced, revoked, expired or not-yet-activated certificate always carries a watermark across it and never shows the Download PDF button, so it cannot pass as valid.
Branding on the page
- Starter removes the Authentica branding from the certificate and from emails.
- Pro adds a white-label verification page, with no Authentica branding anywhere.
