A setting is disabled, or a change did not take effect

Several capabilities are plan-gated: SMS recovery needs Starter or above; agent auto-apply and hiding Miko branding need Growth or above; the AI retention tools need Growth or Pro depending on the tool. Gated controls are disabled in the interface and the gate is re-checked on the server when the feature is used, so a stored value from a previous plan stops taking effect the moment the plan changes. If a switch looks on but nothing is happening, check your plan under Plans.
