Managing subscriptions

Managing subscribers from the admin

Every subscription on the store in one list, kept in sync by Shopify webhooks and a background reconcile.

Subscribers is the merchant-side view of every subscription on the store, whether it was created through Miko or existed before you installed.

What each row shows

  • The subscriber, with a direct link to the customer record in your Shopify admin
  • The products and variants on the subscription, with their prices
  • Status: active, paused, cancelled or expired
  • Deliveries so far, and what is scheduled next
  • Links to the orders each past delivery produced

Staying in sync with Shopify

Subscription data is kept current two ways at once. Shopify's subscription webhooks push contract creations, contract updates and billing outcomes to the app within seconds. Separately, a background job reconciles contracts directly from Shopify at most once every six hours per store, and an admin page load can trigger a reconcile on demand. The webhooks make it fast; the reconcile makes sure a missed webhook cannot leave you looking at a stale list.
