Save offers in the cancel flow
The five kinds of offer a subscriber can be shown instead of cancelling, and which ones you have to fulfill yourself.
A save offer is what a subscriber is shown when they try to cancel: a reason to stay, presented before the cancellation goes through. Set them up under Retention AI.
The five types
| Type | What the subscriber is offered |
|---|---|
| Discount | A percentage off their ongoing deliveries. |
| Pause | Pause instead of cancelling, and come back later. |
| Skip | Skip the next delivery, for the "I still have some left" cancel. |
| Swap | Change to a different product. |
| Gift | A gift added to the next delivery. |
Triggers
An offer is set to fire for any cancellation, or only for high risk subscribers. Reserving your deepest discount for people who are genuinely about to leave is the point of the risk score.
Active and draft
Every save offer is either active or draft, and you can toggle it either way. Only active offers appear in the cancel flow. Draft is where you park an offer you are still deciding about, and where AI-suggested offers land.
The Saves list
When a subscriber accepts an offer instead of cancelling, it is recorded as a save, with the offer type, the date and the monthly value retained. The list totals how many you have kept and roughly how much recurring revenue that is.
Save offers only appear if Show save offers before a subscriber cancels is on under Settings, and if at least one offer is active.
