Creating offers

Prepaid subscriptions

Charge once for several deliveries instead of once per delivery, and when that is the better shape of offer.

A prepaid subscription charges the shopper once for several deliveries, then charges again for the next set. Use it when you want the cash up front and a committed subscriber, for example a three-month coffee plan paid in one go.

Setting it up

  1. Tick Prepaid (bill for several deliveries at once) when creating the offer.
  2. Set Deliveries per charge, between 2 and 24.

How it differs from pay-per-delivery

Pay per deliveryPrepaid
ChargedOnce per deliveryOnce per set of deliveries
RenewsEvery delivery, until cancelledEvery set, until cancelled
Best forConsumables people reorder indefinitelyCommitted plans and gift-style terms

Both keep renewing until the subscriber cancels. Prepaid changes when the money moves, not whether the subscription ends.

You can set prepaid on as the default for new offers under Settings → Default subscribe & save offer, and still turn it off per offer.
