On your storefront

The customer portal

Where subscribers skip, pause, resume, reschedule or cancel, on your own domain and in your own colors.

The customer portal is where a subscriber manages their own subscription, at /apps/subscriptions/portal on your storefront. It is served through Shopify's app proxy, so it sits on your domain, under your theme's URL, and the shopper has to be logged in to see anything. Shoppers sign in with their normal Shopify customer account; there is no separate magic-link or passwordless login.

Where to find it

Shoppers reach it at /apps/subscriptions/portal. You set it up under Settings → Customer portal in the app.

How subscribers find it

Three ways, and all of them are already wired up: the Manage your subscription block in their Shopify customer account, the link in the welcome email the app sends when someone subscribes, and the portal address itself if you want to link it from your own navigation.

What a subscriber can do

  • Skip the next delivery
  • Pause and resume
  • Reschedule the next delivery date
  • Cancel, after being shown any save offers you have set up
  • Update a failing card, through a secure link Shopify sends them
  • Create a key so an AI assistant can manage that subscription

How to set it up

Making it look like your store

  1. Open Settings

Go to Settings → Customer portal in the app.
  2. Set the look

Set the heading, an accent color, background, text and card colors, and a logo. Leave the logo blank and the app resolves your theme's own logo automatically.
  3. Choose the actions

Switch Let subscribers skip a delivery (this also controls rescheduling) and Let subscribers pause on or off, and turn on Show save offers before a subscriber cancels if you use save offers.
  4. Save

    Click Save settings.

Cancel is always available on a live subscription, so a subscriber is never trapped. On the Growth plan and up you can also hide the "Powered by Miko" line.

Options

What it shows

Each subscription card lists the products, the price of one delivery, the schedule, the next delivery date, and a timeline of past deliveries with their real order status: placed, processing, or fulfilled. Ended subscriptions stay listed, read-only, so a shopper can see what they used to have.
