This app is built to need no shopper personal data at all. It does not request access to your orders or your customers, and it holds none.
What the app reads
| Store facts | Why the app needs them |
|---|---|
| Shop policies | Refund, shipping, privacy, terms and contact policy text, to answer questions about them. |
| Shipping zones and rates | Delivery profiles, zones and free-shipping thresholds, to answer shipping questions. |
| Local pickup locations | To answer "can I collect my order?" questions. |
| Languages and markets | Which languages and currencies your store sells in. |
| Products | Product facts, and the app's own metafield holding a product's FAQ answers. |
| Any existing FAQ content | Existing FAQ pages or Knowledge Base answers, read in rather than overwritten. |
What the app never holds
- No orders. The app does not request order access and holds no order data.
- No customers. The app does not request customer access and holds no shopper names, emails or any other customer data.
What it does store is store-level: your policies, your shipping and pickup setup, and the questions and answers you and the app have written.
Deletion
The app implements Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:
| Webhook | What happens |
|---|---|
| Customer data request | There is nothing to export, since no shopper data is held. Acknowledged. |
| Customer redaction | There is nothing to delete, for the same reason. Acknowledged. |
| Shop redaction | Everything the app holds for the shop (every answer, translation, revision, source record and setting) is deleted 48 hours after uninstall. |
Answers already published into your own Shopify store (your help centre page, your product metafields, your Knowledge Base entries) belong to you and are not touched by this deletion; they are yours whether the app stays installed or not.
