Acting on the data

Sending campaigns with your email platform

Use the synced tags to build audiences in Klaviyo, Mailchimp or Shopify Email.

Miko AI is the intelligence layer, not your email sender. It writes customer tags, creates native Shopify segments and fires Shopify Flow triggers, so any email platform picks up the right customers automatically. Your platform sends with your branding and templates.

Where to find it

For a one-off campaign, open a segment in Segments and scroll to Send a campaign to this segment. For always-on emails, go to Automations in the app.

How to set it up

Shopify Messaging (recommended)

Miko AI creates customer segments in your Shopify admin (e.g. Miko AI: At risk) during every sync. In Shopify Messaging, click Create campaign and select the Miko AI segment as your audience. Your campaign targets exactly the right customers.

  1. Generate your email

On the segment page, click Generate email, or Generate email with discount if the segment has a code. Claude writes a subject line and body for that segment (Growth and Scale).

  2. Open Shopify Messaging

Click Open Shopify Messaging, then Create campaign and choose Email.

  3. Select your audience

In the To field, search for the Miko AI segment by name, for example Miko AI: At risk. Use Copy name on the segment page to get it exactly.

  4. Paste the copy

Use Copy subject and Copy body to paste the email into Shopify Messaging.

  5. Preview, then send

Click Preview, then Send to send now or Schedule to pick a time.

Miko AI Automations (set once, runs forever)

Go to Miko App → Automations to set up automated campaigns. Click Enable on an automation and Miko AI generates the email copy (written by Claude on Growth and Scale, a template to edit on other plans). You then build the workflow once in Shopify Flow with the matching Miko AI trigger and an email action, click Turn on workflow in Flow, and click Mark as active back in the app.

Miko AI checks its triggers each time a paid order comes in, so First Purchase, Became VIP and High Value fire at the moment of that order. At-risk, lapsed and one-time buyer status comes from time passing without an order, which a full sync picks up by writing the tag. To act on those, use the Shopify Flow trigger below.

Shopify Flow

In Shopify Flow, use the built-in Customer tags added trigger. Set the tag condition to the Miko AI tag for the segment you want (e.g. miko-at-risk). Add any action: a Shopify Messaging email, SMS, internal notification, or a third-party platform action.

Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp, Brevo

All these platforms support Shopify Flow actions. Use a Miko AI tag or trigger in Flow and choose your platform’s action to fire a campaign. Alternatively, create a segment in your platform using the Shopify customer tag as the filter condition (e.g. tag contains miko-at-risk).
