Miko Product Rentals is available on the Shopify App Store. The Free plan requires no credit card to get started.
Before you start
- An Online Store 2.0 theme. The date picker is a theme app block, which these themes support.
- At least one product you want to rent out, already created in Shopify.
- Your Shopify plan. Checkout pricing works differently on some plans, see below.
Install the app
Step-by-step
Install from the Shopify App Store
Go to apps.shopify.com/miko-product-rentals and click Install. Free plan, no credit card required.Approve the permissions
You will be redirected to your Shopify admin to approve the app's permissions. Review the scopes and click Install.Open the app
The app opens inside your Shopify admin under Apps → Miko Product Rentals. This is your booking dashboard and settings home.
Check it is working
The app's Dashboard shows an Enable your first rental checklist. Each step ticks itself off as soon as Miko detects it is done: add a rental product, add a daily rate and activate the product, add the Miko Rental Calendar block to your product page, and turn on the Miko Rental Display Rules app embed.
When the checklist is complete, open a rental product on your storefront, pick dates, and go through to checkout. Check that the checkout total matches the total the calendar quoted before you take real bookings.
