Availability and inventory
Blocked dates
Close off public holidays, maintenance windows or any date you cannot fulfil.
Use blocked dates to prevent customers from selecting certain dates in the date picker. Miko supports two levels of date blocking:
- Store-wide blocked dates: block dates across your entire store. Useful for public holidays, store closures, or days when you do not process any rentals. Blocked store-wide dates show as unavailable in the date picker for every rental product.
- Per-product blocked dates: block dates for a specific product only. Useful for scheduled maintenance, inspection periods, or a particular item being temporarily unavailable while other items remain bookable.
To add blocked dates, go to Miko Product Rentals → Blocked Dates and add date ranges at either the store or product level. Customers see blocked dates greyed out in the date picker and cannot select them as part of a booking range.
Tip: If you need buffer time between rentals for a specific product, create a per-product blocked date for the day after a rental ends. This prevents back-to-back bookings from different customers without any gap.
