Setting your brand voice and tone

The two ways to teach the app how your store writes, so generated copy reads like you instead of reading generic.

There are two ways to shape how Miko writes:

  • Tone: a quick dropdown on the Generate page (and a store-wide default in Settings). Choose Professional, Friendly, Luxury, Playful, Minimal, Technical, or Bold. Available on every plan.
  • Brand voice: on the Brand Voice page, paste two or three of your best existing product descriptions. Miko matches that tone in every product description it writes from then on. Available on Starter, Growth, and Pro plans.

Where to find it

Tone: the tone dropdown on the Generate page, or the store-wide default under Settings → Default tone and style. Brand voice: the Brand Voice page in the app’s left menu.

How to set it up

  1. Open Brand Voice

In the app’s left menu, click Brand Voice.
  2. Paste your examples

Paste two or three of your best existing product descriptions into the example fields. The first is recommended, the others are optional.
  3. Save

Click Save. Every product description generated afterwards is written to match that tone, including bulk jobs.

Brand voice is optional. If you leave it blank, Miko writes in a clean, professional tone by default and everything still works.
