Alt text is what screen readers announce and what search engines read for your images. Miko writes accessible alt text for every image on a product, not just the featured one, describing what each specific image shows so a gallery of angles gets distinct, useful alt text. It writes back to all images in one step, and one generation credit covers the whole product.
Where to find it
In the app, open Generate and tick the content type Image alt text (all images). It is also available as a content type in bulk jobs and through the SEO gap finder.
How to set it up
Pick a product
On the Generate page, search for the product and select it.Tick alt text
Tick Image alt text (all images), alone or with other content types.Generate and apply
Click generate. With automatic write-back on, the alt text is written to every image straight away; with it off, click Apply to all images when you are happy with it.
If Miko cannot describe a particular image, it leaves that image’s existing alt text alone rather than writing placeholder text onto it. Miko covers up to 10 images per product.
