A run produced no results at all, or auto-resize never fires on new products

Automatic resizing refuses to start when there is nothing to charge against or your spend limit is already reached.

Automatic resizing of new products deliberately refuses to start in two situations, and it does so quietly so it can never spend money you have not approved or leave work stuck in a queue:

  1. There is nothing to pay with. If your free credit is used up and there is no active billing set up, the app skips the work rather than queueing a batch that could never run.
  2. Your spend limit has already been reached. Once the monthly limit you set is hit and free credit is exhausted, no further work is started until you raise the limit or the period rolls over. Raising the limit resumes it; nothing is lost.
  3. Auto-resize is switched off for the store, in which case new products are ignored entirely.

A product whose images all pass the checks above still completes as a no-op batch, and nothing is charged for it.
